While investigating a serial murder case, detective Oh Jeong-soo meets a woman who survived the attack. Sympathy turns into love and the two get married. His wife, however, disappears after conceiving a child. Seven years later, Jeong-soo, still working as a detective, finds his wife and daughter, only after they are brutally killed.
